Hill Haven Homes & Renovations was formed when Kendall and Kimbo decided to turn a side hustle into a full-time adventure by launching their own home remodeling company. Kendall, a licensed professional engineer, left the corporate world where he was managing multi-million-dollar infrastructure projects in and around San Antonio. Kimbo, a corporate event planner turned stay-at-home mom, traded in the dirty diapers to help manage the books and project scheduling. Kendall grew up remodeling homes and once he and Kimbo tied the knot (literally the week after) they bought their first fixer upper. This is where it all began. They loved the transformation and the process so they did it over and over again. The remodeling turned to helping others on the side. Kendall would spend nights and weekends working on other people’s homes while Kimbo took care of the family. Throughout the 10 years of doing this, they always dreamed about owning their own business and transforming people’s houses into their homes.
Now that dream is a reality. Kendall brings his professional credentials, remodeling experience, and project management experience to each client’s project. Kimbo brings her vision, ability to manage and organize anything, and her motherly touch to the table. The two are a perfect combination to deliver quality projects. Kendall meticulously thinks through the details and schedule to ensure nothing is missed and the project is delivered on time. Kimbo treats each project as if their four kiddos were living there to make sure the projects meet each client’s expectations.

Meet The Team
Kendall NeSmith
Owner/Project CoordinatorKendall is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. He has spent most of his life remodeling homes and in the remodeling business helping others. He grew up working with his dad on their own homes as well as working for a master carpenter maintaining rental properties. Kendall put remodeling on hold in 2006 to attend Texas A&M University to major in Civil Engineering where he received both his undergraduate and masters degrees. He then worked for a national civil firm designing complex water/wastewater infrastructure projects all over Texas. Kendall was the project manager for some of San Antonio Water Systems’ largest design projects totaling nearly $300 million in construction cost. He brings his experience managing design teams, subconsultants, and contractors into the home remodeling company.
Kimbo NeSmith
OwnerKimbo grew up on the softball fields playing for some of the best teams in Texas expanding her pitching zone by continuing collegiately playing in New Mexico. She traded in her glove for heels and an office chair where she coordinated corporate events. After she and Kendall had two daughters, 22-months apart, a career change was in order to spend more time with the family and raising their girls so Kimbo left the corporate world to work at the daycare where their daughters went. Once she found out she was pregnant a third time but with an extra surprise of having twins, Kimbo became a stay-at-home mom. She has loved every minute of it but is ready to take on job that is a little easier and has a little less stress. So now she is bringing her organization and management skills to Hill Haven Homes & Renovations, where she will manage scheduling and Kendall.
DeLisa Garrett
Design ManagerDeLisa resides in Blanco, TX with her husband. DeLisa grew up in a military family and lived many places over the years before she moved back home to Texas to raise her family. DeLisa worked in the banking and real estate industry for over 15 years before she decided to return to school to pursue and finish her degree in Interior Design.
DeLisa had her own interior design business in Houston before expanding her design business into the Texas Hill Country. DeLisa’s focus is space planning and layout to develop a functional, yet inviting, environment for her clients. Kitchen and bath designs have been a major part of her career as a designer.
DeLisa’s background in finance, real estate, and design has helped to develop successful relationships with her clients. She believes budget and schedule planning should be at the forefront of any design and remodel project.
When asked what her style is, she’d probably say all of them! She has done everything from traditional, rustic, modern, eclectic and transitional. She feels no person is the same and making your space your own is the only way for a successful design.
Danny Herrera
Project ManagerDanny came to the Hill Haven Homes team with 20 years of experience in custom home building and project management. He was born and raised in Colorado Springs, CO. After attending New Mexico State University, he moved to San Antonio where he decided to stay and met his wife, Jenn.
His passion is to help customers build and see their dreams come true. He prides himself on his excellent customer service, friendliness and ability to get projects done efficiently and on time.
In his off time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 sons. They enjoy sports and being outdoors. Their youngest son is an avid baseball player and they spend many a nights and weekends at the fields watching him do what he loves.
Jennifer West
Office ManagerJennifer West proudly joined the Hill Haven Homes Team in November 2023. Prior to this, she was a music educator at both the elementary and secondary level for 14 years. In an act of faithful obedience, she left the profession and has since then been a barista as well as a licensed insurance agent. Now, her love of people, organization, and helping others, serve her well in managing the office for Hill Haven Homes & Renovations. In her time outside of the workplace, you will find her with her family and friends in the beautiful town of Bulverde. Much of her time is spent at church or with her church family living life together. She has been married to her husband, Christopher, for 17 years, and has three children Colton (14), Connor (12), and Brooklynn (9).
